Metal Detecting Shovels & Digging Tools

The tool you dig with decides whether you get invited back to a permission. A serrated hand digger cuts a clean plug in turf that goes back down invisibly. A long T-handle shovel with a double-serrated blade gets through roots and hardpack without wrecking your back. For the goldfields you want a magnet-tipped pick that pulls the target straight off the blade. Stainless holds up in wet sand, carbon steel is tougher on rock, and a proper sheath keeps the edge off your leg.
