The Gold Bug Pro adds a target ID display and discrimination to the Gold Bug platform, which changes what the machine is good for. You keep the 19 kHz sensitivity to small gold, but you can now see and sort what you are hearing, so it becomes as useful for coin and relic hunting as it is for prospecting. Manual ground balance still handles the mineralized ground a gold machine has to cope with. A genuinely dual-purpose detector rather than a compromise.
