Steve's Detector Rods

Steve's rods are built around a simple observation: most detectorists are either fighting the weight of the machine or fighting its balance, and those are different problems. The carbon fiber uppers and lowers deal with weight. The counterweight-ready upper deals with balance, letting you set the machine up so the coil is not pulling your wrist forward through a long swing. The 26 inch glass fiber tall lower rods are for anyone over six foot who has been hunching over a stock shaft, and there are two-piece middle and lower sets for the Manticore.
