Tesoro Vaquero

Ask relic hunters which Tesoro they miss and most of them say the Vaquero. It ran at 14 kHz with manual ground balance, weighed about two and a half pounds, and gave you an analog audio response with no processing delay between the coil and your ear. In iron-heavy ground that immediacy is worth more than any target ID number, because you are reading the shape of the signal rather than waiting for a screen to guess.
