The Excalibur is an audio machine. There is no screen telling you what is under the coil, so everything depends on learning what the tones mean, and that is a slow thing to pick up in the surf. Diana's ear training CD lets you do it at home instead, working through target responses until you can tell a nickel from a pull tab before you dig it. Old fashioned in format, and still the fastest way to get fluent on an Excalibur.
