Rock Tumblers & Polishing Supplies

Tumbling is mostly patience and grit sequence. Rotary tumblers like the Lortone barrels are the standard for rounding rough stone over three or four weeks of coarse, medium, pre-polish and polish stages. Vibratory units like the Raytech TV-10 work faster and keep more of the original shape, which is why they suit jewelry and coin cleaning better than rock rounding. Whichever you run, the grit sequence matters more than the machine, and a barrel that is not cleaned properly between stages will scratch everything in the next one. We carry Lortone, Thumler's Tumbler and Raytech machines along with grit sets, media, spare barrels and lids.
