White's Spectra V3i

The Spectra V3i was the most sophisticated detector White's ever built and arguably the most sophisticated VLF anybody has built. Three simultaneous frequencies at 2.5, 7.5 and 22.5 kHz, a color spectrograph showing you the actual signal rather than a number, and a level of user control that let you rewrite almost every parameter in the machine. That depth is also why it developed a reputation for being difficult: it rewards people who learn it and frustrates people who expect to switch on and go. Owners who put the time in rarely sell them. This is where the V3i machines, coils, covers and parts live now that the factory has gone.
